Music and new business models

Very interesting concept on the horizon from Norwegian MusicNodes.

Read more about the concept in Geir Stenes blog:

It’s a embedded player, where you can listen to a tune. There’s nothing new in that. You can buy the tune as well and you can share the tune with your friends and network, nothing new in that either.

The new is that the content is placed contextual. Another aspect is that it’s not a website, where you go to and find your music and then buy what you want.

PS. I would have embedded a player here but it´s not possible within the limitations of Posterous publishing platform. Here is a direkt link to a sponsored track from Ingrid Olava - Warrior Song.

Is Die Antwoord the answer?

Strange stuff from South Africa. Die Antwoord is cool, ugly, pretty and a lot of other things at the same time. But I like it…

Is it a music video or a documentary…

…or what ever it is called, I like it.

In the video we meet Georgina Spelvin, on her blog she introduces herself ith these words:

At 72, I'm enjoying my retirement from a twenty year career as a desktop publisher, which followed a career as an actress in both mainstream film and theater and underground (yes many were pornographic)films. Before that, I was a dancer.

The first film she featured in was Les collégiennes/The Twilight Girls from 1957:

Apparently the film stirred some emotions in its time:

The movie broke new ground in the country's legal definition of "pornography" and was the cause of a landmark judicial decision in late-1950's New York's censorship statutes. (YouTube)
Georgina Spelvin most well know film is The Devil in Miss Jones from 1973 where she first started to use the name Georgina Spelvin, and with that ruined a long tradition in pseudonyms:
George Spelvin, Georgette Spelvin, and Georgina Spelvin are the traditional pseudonyms used in programs in American theater. […] "Georgina Spelvin" has fallen out of general use since it was adopted as a screen name by pornographic actress Michelle Graham, who was credited by that name in The Devil in Miss Jones (1973) and her subsequent films. Charlotte Gainsbourg - Heaven Can Wait

Official video of the new Charlotte Gainsbourg's single, in duo with Beck.
Directed by Keith Schofield.

The concept comes from the random imagery Schofield encounters on websites such FFFFound! and blogging platform Tumblr. “I thought the best video in the world would be one where you just cut to a different, crazy scene,” he says.

PS. Ta en titt på Keith Schofields video til Lenny Kravitz + Justice "Let Love Rule. Rulletekst galore:

Clever point of view

Cool video. I really like the subjectiv point of view (POV) concept, which for the most part only is seen in video games and porn videoes (I´ve been told). Very cleverly done in this piece by Cinnamon Chasers and Saman Keshavarz.

The video is filmed with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II ==>

**Shot entirely on the Canon 5D Mark II w/ a custom face mounted rig -- Canon Lenses used: 14mm (f2.8) & 24mm (f1.4)**

I found this video through @KarstenM´s blog post on Subtitles, where you also can see Jonas Åkerlund´s classic Smack My Bitch Up video (The Prodigy).
