Flash mobs, pop culture and samples

Last night we saw the European Song Contest flash mob live on our tellies, but it started a long time before.

In the video above the producer is kind enough to present two stories in one: the first 1989 accidental flash mob and the story of MC Hammer´s moves. Neither of them are necessarily based on true stories ;)

Be sure to check out the Utah Saints 1992 original. The song contains a sample from Kate Bush´s "Cloudbusting". Bush´s video in turn features Donald Sutherland, the father of Kiefer Sutherland in the series "24".

Also check out Utah Saints "What Can You do for Me" with samples of Annie Lennox´ voice and a line from "Ain't Nothing Going On But The Rent" med Gwen Guthrie.

Dear Andreas,

In accordance with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we've processed your counter notification regarding your video. This content has been restored and your account will not be penalised.

Yours sincerely,
